Kempner is author of Psychedelic Outlaws: The Movement Revolutionizing Modern Medicine, published in 2024 by Hachette Books. Kempner takes us on a journey into the history and politics of knowledge concerning drugs like psilocybin and LSD that can be used to treat many chronic conditions. The book follows activists, credentialed researchers, and a group of people with cluster headache, the Clusterbusters, as they struggle to develop both knowledge and legitimacy.
