In this special episode of The Annex Sociology Podcast, Philip Cohen (University of Maryland, College Park) interviews with Judith Stacey of New York University, a towering figure in gender and culture studies. They discuss the evolution of feminism and gender studies over Stacey’s decades-long career.

Stacey has an extensive and award-winning publication record, which includes acclaimed books like Patriarchy and the Socialist Revolution in China (1983), Brave New Families (1990), In the Name of the Family (1996), and Unhitched: Love, Marriage, and Family Values from West Hollywood to Western China (2011). In 2012, Professor Stacey won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the ASA Section on Sexualities.
